Laura Rinard

Countywide Payroll

Laura Rinard is the Acting Division Chief with the Auditor-Controller’s Countywide Payroll Division. Ms. Rinard has worked for Los Angeles County for over 31 years, 20 of which are within the Department of Auditor-Controller. She manages the County’s central payroll and oversees the administration of the Countywide Human Resource and Payroll System, eHR. Ms. Rinard holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a Major in Accounting, from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

 

Countywide Payroll

The Auditor-Controller is responsible for the issuance of the payroll to employees of the County of Los Angeles. Over 103,000 employees receive a payment each payday and over 113,000 W-2s are issued for active and out-of-service employees. Countywide Payroll is responsible for implementing pay practices negotiated with bargaining units, withhold both mandatory and voluntary deductions, and withhold earnings payable to various creditors and agencies for garnishments, Federal and State tax levies and child support. These and many other tasks are accomplished through the use of the County's Human Resource and Payroll system, eHR.
